Nueva versión del WRF ( 3.4 )
Acabo de recibir un email de la lista de correo del WRF, anunciando una nueva versión. Se las dejo!
Dear WRF users, The WRF modeling system codes have been updated to Version 3.4 on April 6, 2012. The release includes all components of the system: WPS, WRF model (including ARW, NMM and HWRF), WRF-Chem, and WRFDA. Program RIP4 has also been updated. For WRF-ARW: - Two new land surface models: Noah-MP and SSiB - QNSE-Eddy Diffusivity Mass-Flux PBL - Fu-Liou-Gu radiation - NSSL 2-moment microphysics - Revised MM5 surface layer physics - Topographic correction for surface winds - Weighted Essentially Non-Oscillatory advection scheme for momentum and scalars For WRF-Chem: - Upper boundary condition that relaxes stratospheric chemistry to climatological values - Coupled MOZART - MOSAIC with simplified SOA scheme - AQCHEM aqueous chemistry and wet deposition schemes - CO2 chemistry scheme - A new Green House Gas scheme - Dust emission algorithm from AFWA - Option to couple volcanic ash and SO2 emissions with other chemistry and aerosol modules For WRF-DA: - WRFPLUS3 parallel WRF TL/AD based on WRF V3.4 - Parallelization of 4D-VAR - Precipitation data assimilation in 4D-VAR - NOAA-19 AMSUA and MHS added - Improved capability to generate forecast sensitivity to observations For WRF-NMM: - Changes to make the released code more similar to the NCEP operational model - NSAS cumulus scheme - New QNSE-EDMF and Noah-MP schemes For HWRF (NMM-based): - Preliminary development towards high resolution (27-9-3km) triple nest capability. - Additional vortex tracking algorithms. - High frequency (each time step) ascii output storm location, maximum surface winds, and radius of maximum winds - Various updates of GFDL surface scheme, Tropical Ferrier microphysics, and HWRF SAS - Added capability to run NSAS cumulus and RRTMG (shortwave and longwave) radiations.
